A new economy based on clean energy and sustainability is springing up throughout the nation. Solar and wind energy is replacing coal-fired power, people are moving to more fuel-efficient and electric vehicles, and energy efficiency is becoming the cure for high electric bills.

It isn't only the economy that is changing. People are also making more sustainable lifestyle choices, whether its moving closer to where they work, buying food grown locally, or demanding a higher quality of life in their communities.

The Clean Energy and Sustainability Calendar presents events, classes, workshops, gatherings, film screenings, conventions, expos, regalatory meetings/workshop, legislative hearings, etc., so you can take part in these exciting changes happening in America. The calendar is divided into the following sections:

• Clean Energy and Fuel Events -- solar, wind, geothermal, biofuels, electric vehicles, pulbic transportation, and bike commuting.
• Energy Efficiency and Green Buildings Events -- the best way to save energy is to not use it. Find out about making both old and new buildings greener.
• Urban Farming and Other Sustainable Events -- farming in the city, raising livestock, and beekeeping; clean air from mobil and stationary emission sources; and greening your life and/or business.
• Past Events -- have a look at what's happened in the past to inspire you to do something in your neck of the woods now or in the future.
• Resources -- find out more about the people, businesses, and organizations pioneering the changes in this country; the regulatory agencies laying the groundwork for these changes; and the folks spreading the good word.
